Just finished the new episode of Game of Thrones, called The Long Night, and I am still stunned. All I can say is IT WAS SPECTACULAR!
Woah… what a ride that was! The battle was EPIC, the whole environment was dark and moody, full of blood, death, sweat and sorrow.
I really liked the pace of the episode. It was slow and steady at first, you see how every single one of the characters prepares in their own way. You feel for them. You kind of know that some of them won’t be alive after The Night King arrives.
This brings me to the second thing I loved in the episode. The fact that The Night King doesn’t show up until, like, half of the episode. You see all this death, in the middle of this brutal battle, and you ask yourself ‘Where is he, damn it?’.
Then he comes.
To be honest, I’ll miss The Knight King. As you probably already know, Arya finished him and saved Winterfell, Westeros and the whole world. I expected more of him.
The good thing is that there is a new, hopefully even greater, battle coming on the horizon, between what’s left of Winterfell and the queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Cersei Lannister.
When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.
Cersei Lannister to Eddard Stark
I hope they deliver something even greater than what I saw in this third episode, although that would be pretty hard to achieve.
