Finally, the long anticipated Windows terminal is on the Microsoft Store.

Keep in mind that this is an early preview and will be updated regularly. Also, you need to have Windows 10 version 18362.0 or higher.

The most important feature, at least for me, is the support for multiple tabs. After all, we live in 21st century and it is a shame for the most used OS to not have this built in.

We all had to use tools like cmder (which is an awesome app), just to feel a little bit closer to what UNIX users had for years.

Another cool thing is that it’s fully customizable – you could create a theme, styles and even set a background image (I know, right). You could even write your own custom key bindings.

All that’s possible via simple profile.json file that opens up as soon as you click on the settings button within the dropdown menu.

You could also create profiles that have different settings, which is awesome.
